FAQS

Do I need to get consent for tree felling?

Possibly, however not all trees will require consent. Our arborists will be able to discuss with you at the time of your quote whether consents are required or not for your particular tree. The likelihood of consent being required may depend on the historical significance of the tree or the species type.

Does iPrune help with the consent process for tree removal?

Yes, Upon confirmation that consent is required, our team will assist in the acquisition of consent.

Am I able to prune back the neighbours trees hanging over my property?

Yes, however if the tree is protected, council consent may be required. We advise also talking to your neighbor to inform them that you plan on performing any treework affecting trees on their property.

How can I prepare my property for tree works?

To help ensure efficient tree works, taking the following steps may be helpful, particularly in the event of tree removal or when large limbs are being removed in the pruning process.

  • Ensure vehicles are parked a safe distance from the trees to be worked on
  • Remove items such as trampolines, toys, outdoor furniture away from the trees to be worked on. iPrune Tree Services will be happy to remove any items from the drop zone for you too.
  • Assess if there are any plants at the base of the tree that you would like to ensure are kept safe. Remove these from the base of the tree for replanting later.
  • Inform your neighbours that tree work is going to be taking place, particularly when iPrune Tree Services will need access to the trees via their property or in the event of your shared driveway access being blocked.

Can I keep the firewood or mulch?

Absolutely. If you would like to keep the wood for firewood we will stack the wood on your property as part of our clean up. If you would like to keep the mulch we can distribute this across your garden. Alternatively, if you are not interested in keeping the wood in any form, we will take it away as part of our thorough clean up.
